Why Choose Meat Wholesale in Staffordshire?

Here at HP Westwood, we pride ourselves on presenting Staffordshire in the meat wholesale industry. Located in Burntwood, just north of Birmingham, we have developed quite the array of knowledge throughout the years of what Staffordshire has to offer when it comes to high quality meat produce.

At HP Westwood, we pride ourselves on doing more for our customers than what is expected of your typical Staffordshire slaughterhouse.

So we would like to take this opportunity to highlight some of the many reasons why the wholesale meat industry in Staffordshire is so important and ever expanding.

Local Butchers

Over the weekend, across Staffordshire and Cheshire, local butchers are frequently filled with regular customers queueing to get their all important meat fix. You might be asking, why do these customers keep coming back?

We would argue that they keep coming back to their local and family run butchers because they offer unique and special meat cuts not available from big chains or even available in the customer’s closest supermarket.

Adding to this is the friendly and homely atmosphere projected to their customers. A lot of local butchers know their customers on a first name basis which is a service you would never get from a big chain meat supplier.

Food Festivals

When you think of food & drink festivals, Staffordshire might not be the first place that comes to mind. However, there are an incredible number of fantastic food & drink festivals running across the county.

Whilst COVID-19 might have significantly decreased the amount of food festivals still running, there are still many festivals to enjoy. One such festival is the Stone Food & Drink Festival which runs the weekend beginning 15th July. Unsurprisingly, this festival in ran in Stone and showcases some of the very best in local cuisine and meat produce.

Additionally, at Trentham Estate in the middle of June, the Great British Food Festival will be held. This festival offers a more general and crowd pleasing atmosphere but we can assure you, there are no compromises when it comes to quality.

Exceptional Food Markets

Following on from food festivals, on a much smaller scale, Staffordshire has some of the very best food markets in the country. These traditional markets are held on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly basis.

In Newcastle-under-Lyme, their local market runs 6 days a week offering some of the very best meat produce of the area. Not too far away from Newcastle, there is also the simply named Stoke market. With roots dating back over 200 years ago, the festival has been a staple of the local area and with clear plans to continue this now long established tradition, why don’t you check it out if you are in close proximity.

Around 15 minutes down the road from Burntwood, we have the Lichfield’s markets. There is a fantastic range of variety available at Lichfield markets and we highly recommend checking this one out if you are in the area. For more information, be sure to check out their website.

Flexibility

Buying from local and family run businesses has many advantages. One such perk includes having the ability to tailor the products to your own tastes and requirements.

They say the customer is always right and when you have such a plethora of options available, it is quite difficult to disagree with this one.

At HP Westwood, we offer many services to cater to your taste buds. One of the aforementioned offerings is our contract slaughter service which you can tailored to get the very best cuts applicable specifically to you. Whether it is chicken, pork or beef, we are sure we have something to tickle your taste buds.
