Mr Karl Eastoe – Best Abattoir Worker – Institute of Meat
In 2017, one of our employees, Karl Eastoe won an industry award whilst out on training.
When it comes to training and assessing our slaughtermen, we always use Fast Forward Vets. Karl won his award whilst training for his WATOK qualification. WATOK is a compulsory qualification for anyone wishing to become an abattoir worker and is also a part of the abattoir worker apprenticeship for those that we support through that. This is a qualification that had to be achieved before Karl could apply for his slaughter license.
We are incredibly proud of Karl for his award and see it as a shining example of the standards that we wish to reflect in our wholesale meat supplies and service.
