Information For Farmers

At H.P. Westwood, we are proud of the fact that we provide only high-quality products from farmers based in Staffordshire. As a result, we require all of our suppliers to perform stringent checks on their livestock in order to maintain our collective high standard and ensure food safety and customer satisfaction. We work hard to  maintain our close and long-lasting relationships with our farmers and our retailers.

Working With Us  

When working with us, all of your livestock must be supplied with the relevant food chain information for traceability, as requested on our form. This information includes the following 

  • Holding number 
  • Keeper’s number
  • Ear tags/individual identification marks 

We also ask you to declare the following: 

  • Whether or not your animals are under movement restrictions for bovine tuberculosis, any other disease, or public health restrictions
  • Whether or not withdrawal periods have been met
  • Whether or not your animals have been exposed to any disease or condition that may affect the safety of the meat. 

All of the above points are in addition to the fact that all of our farmers are accredited with the Red Tractor and RSPCA standards. Both of these accreditations provide our retail clients and their customers with confidence that our products have been produced with only the highest standards of animal welfare and quality in mind.
